Privacy Policy

1. We Never Store Your Audio

At Fyx, your privacy is our core architecture, not an afterthought. We never store your audio data.

• In-Memory Processing: When you record a voice note, the audio stream is processed entirely in-memory for transcription.
• Immediate Disposal: As soon as the transcription is completed, the audio buffer is wiped from memory. No audio files are ever written to local disks or remote server storage.
• STT Partnerships: We use industry-standard Speech-to-Text providers. They process the transient audio stream solely for transcription and are contractually prohibited from training models on your data.

2. Bank-Grade Credential Security

We protect your session using your operating system's native security layer.

• macOS: We utilize the Apple Keychain.
• Windows: We utilize the Windows Credential Manager.

Your authentication tokens are encrypted at the OS level, meaning even if your device is compromised, your tokens remain protected by system-level hardware security.

3. What We Actually Collect

We only collect the absolute minimum required to provide the Fyx service:

• Profile Information: We store your name, email, and avatar provided via Google OAuth to manage your subscription.
• Usage Metrics: We track the number of transcriptions processed to enforce monthly tier limits.
• Polished Text: We only store the final "polished" text if you explicitly choose to save it in future features. By default, Fyx injects text directly into your apps and releases it.

4. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to access, delete, or port your data. Since we do not store your audio, most of our processed data is transient. For any stored profile data, you can request full deletion via our support channel.
